Camden, Tenn.–The search continues for Alma Fowler, who is missing from her assisted living facility in Camden since Wednesday. Benton County Sheriff Kenny Christopher said this morning search teams have shifted their focus to include other areas based on tips received.

Christopher confirmed to HenryCountyNow on Friday that Ms. Fowler is deaf and non-verbal. She is 75 years old, 4’11” tall and 110 pounds. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued a Silver Alert for her.

“She also has really bad health issues,” Christopher said. “She’s never left the property before, so this is a real mystery. She has really bad COPD and can’t walk very far.”
Ms. Fowler was last seen near the Herrington Place facility in Camden and was wearing a green puffy jacket, tan jeans, white snow boots, and a white headband. She is believed to be traveling on foot.
Dozens of people and several agencies are involved in the search parties, including Stewart County deputies, rescue squads, THP, TBI, and TWRA. They are using a variety of equipment, including helicopters and drones, thermal imaging and other equipment.
