As of early Saturday morning (1/24/26), the Carroll County Fire Department had responded to approximately 64 calls across the county.
These calls have included structure fires, fire alarms, medical calls, and assistance to EMS with patient transportation. Calls for assistance are continuing as of today.
They want to take a moment to say thank you to our firefighters, first responders, Carroll Co Sheriff Deputies, Dispatchers, Rescue Squad Members, and emergency service personnel who have been working nonstop to serve our community. When you see an emergency service worker, please take a moment to thank them—it truly means more than you know.
They would also like to extend a special thank you to the emergency workers and volunteers who helped set up and staffed the warming center 24 hours a day at the Carroll County Civic Center. Your dedication ensured a warm, safe place for those in need during extremely difficult conditions, and that commitment does not go unnoticed.
They would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the Carroll County Electric Department for their hard work—often in fast-moving, cold, and challenging conditions—to restore power and stabilize the electrical grid.
Please continue to stay safe. The Carroll County Fire Department is here to help and remains ready to serve our community.
