Henry County Mayor Randy Geiger announced Henry County General Government will be continue to be closed due to the continued winter weather on Wednesday Jan 28, 2026. A decision will be made Wednesday regarding Thursday work schedule. Ice, sleet and snow continues to cause hazardous travel conditions and bitter cold temperatures will remain until at least Wednesday.
Henry County Emergency Management reports main roads have improved but side street and county roads remain hazardous. Another arctic blast arrives later toward the weekend. Henry County continues to experience limited isolated power outages today compared to other counties in TN. Over 168K customers remain without power across Tennessee. Roads/bridges will remain hazardous refreezing. Henry County Courts and Schools remain closed through Wednesday and isolated power outages will be possible. Citizens should continue to stay off the roads if possible.Inman School Tornado Shelter, 400 Harrison St, Paris, remains open as a community warming shelter. There were 7 persons were there on Tuesday.
