Paris, Tenn.–What a way to end the week!

Bids were high and often at the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction, with $13,458 raised by the Central Point community, Bridge of Hope Church, and Tennessee Valley Bass Club. That brings the grand total raised so far at $95,404.

Auctioneer David Jackson said $5,080 in donations came in from several individuals. The Paris Rotary Club manned the phones. There were 14 slates of donations today.

Saturday’s auction has been cancelled due to the wintry weather coming our way. Saturday was supposed to be Educator’s Day and Helping Hand officials will notify everyone when it will be rescheduled.

The auction is held at the Paris Convention Center from January 12 through March 4 and you can participate and/or watch in several ways: You can listen on one of our radio stations, WHNY 104.7FM or 1000 AM or listen on our website at HenryCountyNow.com or the Henry County Helping Hand website at https://www.hchelpinghand.org/ Auction phone number is 644-1695. The auction begins on the weekdays at 12:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at noon.
