
The Tennessee Association of Fairs held it’s 104th Convention January 15-17, 2026 at the Embassy Suites and Conference Center in Murfreesboro and the Henry County Fair took an active role. The Convention was attended by 50 of the 54 fairs across the state. The Tennessee Association of Fairs serves to promote and encourage agricultural fairs across the great state of Tennessee.
The Henry County Fair had five directors attend and participate in the conference. At the Opening General Session Jason Dotson led the opening prayer.
Joan Williams serves as a member of the Fair Showcase Committee. This event allows fairs to enter items for competition against other fairs. There were over 900 items entered in the Showcase. Joan also co-led a breakout session on Official Visitor Training.
Michelle Hopkins led a breakout session titled “Let’s Talk Livestock”.
Jenny Adams-Walker and Jason Dotson served the TAF as official fair visitors in 2025. The Official Visitors serve as the eyes for the association to rate a fair in several areas.
Kylee French participated in the Fairest of Fair pageants on Friday night. Kylee was in the Top Ten. There were Forty-nine young ladies participating in the pageant.
Deneicia Gregson served the TAF as Second Vice President for the 2025 year. She was the convention chairperson for the 2026 Convention. During the business session of the convention Deneicia was confirmed to move to First Vice President for 2026.
The Merit Awards Banquet was held on Saturday night of the Convention. The Henry County Fair was named First Runner up in the AA Fair Division. The AA Division is made up of 23 Fairs across the state of Tennessee.
Gregson said, “Thank you to everyone who supports The Henry County Fair each year. It takes a lot of volunteers from our community to make it happen. We can’t wait to bring new ideas and old favorites to the 2026 Moovin & Groovin Henry County Fair August 21-29. See you at the Fair!”
