Paris, Tenn.–It will be a full day of activities for the 2026 Henry County Martin Luther King Jr. Day, with a community prayer breakfast to start the day at the Central School Community Service Center and an evening service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
The morning ‘Prayer Warriors’ breakfast will be sponsored by the UAW Local 9025 and will include a hearty breakfast and prayers at the Central Service Center at 55 Jones Bend Rd. in Paris.
The evening program will be in the form of a townhall meeting: “A Conversation with the Elders”, at 6 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 401 Irvine St., Paris. “Civil Rights Past, Present, Future from the voice of our elders” will be the program.
Awards will be presented to: Community Service Award — Shannon McFarlin; and Drum Major for Justice Award–Coach Josh Wolfe.
