The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center is proud to welcome acclaimed singer, songwriter, and musician Marc Broussard on Thursday, April 23 at 7:30 PM, for an unforgettable night of soulful Louisiana sound and heartfelt storytelling.

Tickets range from $45–$55 (plus taxes) and go on sale Friday, January 16, at 12P CT. Tickets and additional information will be available at DixiePAC.net/events.

Known for his powerful Bayou-bred baritone and emotionally rich performances, Marc Broussard has carved out a singular place in American music. The son of Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist Ted Broussard of The Boogie Kings, Broussard was immersed in music from an early age, honing his craft in the vibrant Lafayette, Louisiana scene. His major-label debut Carencro launched him into the international spotlight with the breakout hit “Home,” establishing him as a defining voice in modern Southern soul.

Over the course of his career, Broussard has seamlessly blended soul, blues, rock ’n’ roll, and R&B into a sound that is both timeless and contemporary. NPR praised his work, stating, “His music radiates soulful Louisiana blues, but his songs blend those influences with raucous rock ’n’ roll to create unique and infectious music,” while The Washington Times noted, “Few modern voices are as powerful as Marc Broussard’s soulful, Bayou-bred baritone.”

Beyond his musical achievements, Broussard is equally recognized for his philanthropic impact. His commitment to service began in 2005 with Bootleg to Benefit the Victims of Hurricane Katrina and expanded in 2015 with the creation of the S.O.S. Foundation (Save Our Soul). Through the foundation, Broussard has released multiple charitable albums benefiting organizations such as United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, City of Refuge Atlanta, and Guitars Over Guns. His collaboration with blues icon Joe Bonamassa, S.O.S. 4: Blues for Your Soul, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Blues Albums Chart.

Broussard’s most recent album, Time Is a Thief, marked his first collection of original music in seven years and was met with critical acclaim. Produced by Grammy-winning Eric Krasno and Grammy-nominated producer Jeremy Most, the album features ten original tracks, including the uplifting single “Give You The World.” Blues Rock Review called the album “a new masterwork,” while The Advocate praised it as “Broussard’s soul- and rhythm-and-blues-informed style at its finest.”

Looking ahead, Broussard will release S.O.S. V: Songs of the ’50s in February 2026 via his Artist Tone Records. The philanthropic album reimagines classic soul, blues, rock, and pop favorites while benefiting Love of People, a nonprofit organization based in his hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana.
