
The Association of Collegiate Anglers is putting together a three-part article series reviewing the current rankings for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. The 2025-26 season is currently at its mid-way point, with fall events drawing to a close. In this article, we take a look at teams currently ranked 6-15 in college fishing’s only all-encompassing National Rankings system.

7) Tarleton State University (Pre-Season Rank: 12th)
8) Auburn University (Pre-Season Rank: 13th)
9) Drury University (Pre-Season Rank: 6th)
10) Bethel University (Pre-Season Rank: 14th)
11) McKendree University (Pre-Season Rank: 4th)
12) Adrian College (Pre-Season Rank: 7th)
13) LSU-Shreveport (Pre-Season Rank: 5th)

With a tie at 15th, this rankings review highlights 11 teams. Each of those programs were selected in the Top 25 for the ACA’s Pre-Season Poll entering this year. All but one (Murray State College), were picked inside of the Top 20.
Tarleton State got a major victory to kick off the 2025-26 campaign on the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. Team member Jared Mizell won the Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley at Kentucky Lake.
Two of the 11 teams featured in this rankings review have previously won the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garica.

Each school highlighted in this article finished the final standings of the 2024-25 season in the Top 25 for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. Look for each team to put together a strong spring and make a push to finish the current season as high up as possible in the rankings.
