Jonathan Lodge has officially announced his candidacy for Henry County Mayor, running as an Independent in the 2026 election.
Lodge, a longtime Henry County resident and community leader says his campaign will focus on steady leadership, practical problem-solving, and transparent communication.
“Henry County deserves leadership that listens, communicates clearly, and works directly for the people,” Lodge said. “I’m committed to bringing common sense solutions, accountability, and a clear vision for our county’s future.”
As an Independent candidate, Lodge emphasizes putting local needs above party politics, focusing on issues like infrastructure, economic development, workforce retention, and improving coordination among local and state agencies.
Lodge plans to meet with residents and other leaders across the county in the coming months to hear concerns and discuss priorities.
Lodge is married to local artist Chelsea Lodge and they have three children: Cabot, 11; Fern, 9; and Rosie 7. Chelsea has created several murals in the Paris area, including the Welcome to Paris mural on the side of Uncle Billy’s; a mural at the Henry County Fairgrounds; and murals at local businesses.
Last week, current Henry County Mayor Randy Geiger announced he would not be running for another term in the position.
