Paris, Tenn. – The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers (TNAAO) awarded Henry County’s Assessor of Property, Scott Morrison, the prestigious West Tennessee Assessor of the Year award during its annual Winter Conference held in Pigeon Forge.

Morrison — who assumed office in August 2024 — was recognized among his peers statewide for his leadership, professionalism, and dedication to fair and accurate property assessment across Henry County.

“I am deeply honored to receive this recognition,” said Morrison. “This award belongs not only to me, but to every member of our office who works tirelessly to ensure equitable assessments for the people of Henry County.”

As Assessor of Property for Henry County, Morrison oversees a workload that includes identifying, mapping, and valuing all taxable real and personal property — a responsibility essential to the fairness and integrity of the county’s tax system.

The West Tennessee Assessor of the Year distinction underscores Morrison’s commitment to excellence and to serving his community with professionalism and integrity.
