A special Thanks to K9 Jep and his handler Lt. S. Ribble from the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance Monday to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force.
Agents attempted to stop a vehicle in Trenton for a traffic violation that was determined to be driven by a wanted person when the vehicle fled. When the pursuit became too dangerous to continue, it was terminated. Agents refused to give up on the arrest and were able to track the suspect to a home on Eldad Road where they found the vehicle abandoned behind a shed and called for K-9 assistance.
K-9 Jep and Lt. Ribble arrived on scene and started to work. Searching a small field into a thicket through the wet vegetation in rain and sleet. Within 5 minutes, the duo had the suspect in custody without incident or a bite.
Agents arrested Grant Taylor, 22, of Trenton on an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Mr Taylor is facing additional misdemeanor and felony charges as well.
Charges are being prosecuted by The Office of the District Attorney General, 28th Judicial District, Frederick Agee.
