
Obion, Tenn.–A rural home was heavily damaged by fire Sunday afternoon in Obion.
At approximately 1:38 PM, The Obion Fire Department was dispatched to a rural structure fire. Hornbeak Fire and Troy Fire also responded through automatic aid, and Obion firefighters said they are grateful for their quick support.
Crews arrived to find flames coming from the second-story roof. Thanks to the hard work, training, and teamwork of all responders, the fire was brought under control by 2:36 PM. Crews were on scene almost 4 hours.
Fire Chief Kane Stacks said, “We want to extend a sincere thank you to every firefighter, law enforcement officer, dispatcher, and the TBI. Moments like these remind us how strong our community is when we stand together.”
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
