Martin, Tenn.–A long-simmering controversy erupted with public charges Monday evening when a secret Weakley County Grand Jury issued indictments against Martin Mayor Randy Brundige, his daughter Natalie Brundige and Martin Economic Development Director Brad Thompson.
The Attorney General’s office reportedly presented information from the Tennessee Comptroller’s office to the grand jury. The Comptroller’s office may release more information Wednesday, but did not do so today because government offices are closed due to Veterans Day.
All three are charged with official misconduct and theft. They were booked into the Weakley County Detention Center and were released on bond. More details will be forthcoming from the Comptroller’s Office.
