Two-Vehicle Accident Claims Life Of Puryear Man

Graves County, Ky.–A Puryear motorcycle driver was killed in a Graves County, Ky. accident Saturday. The other driver and passenger are from Union City.
The accident claimed the life of Ronald Minor, age 52, of Puryear.
On Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 7:00 AM, deputies from the Graves Co.  Sheriff’s Office and other first responders were dispatched to the Pilot Oak community for a two-vehicle collision.
The investigation showed Jose Ruiz, age 26 of Union City, TN, was eastbound on KY 94 West in a 2017 Toyota Corolla. Ruiz stopped at the posted stop sign at the intersection of KY 94 and KY 129. Ruiz began to make a left turn onto KY 94 West, pulling into the path of a southbound 2002 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle operated by Ronald Minor, 52 of Puryear, TN. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, ejecting Minor from his motorcycle.
Ruiz did not complain of any injuries at the scene. Minor was transported by Mayfield/Graves County EMS to Murray-Calloway County Hospital where he was later flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Minor later passed away due to the injuries he sustained in the collision. A passenger in Ruiz’s vehicle, Diego Olague 23 of Union City, TN was not injured.
Deputy Zac Smith investigated this collision. He was assisted by Sgt. Ben Doran, the Kentucky State Police, Mayfield/Graves County EMS, the Sedalia Fire Department and the Cuba Fire Department.
