Union City’s two Middle School teams will hold their annual Purple and Gold basketball games Tuesday night at 6 at Marty Sisco Gymnasium.
The preseason contests will again serve as a fundraiser for the two programs, with a $5 fee charged for admission. Limited concessions will also be available.
The girls will play two 10-minute quarters, and the boys will play a pair of 15-minute quarters with a running clock.
Union City split a pair of jamboree outings on Saturday at Gleason, the boys winning 48-38 against Bradford, while the Tornado girls dropped a 38-15 decision to the Lady Red Devils.
UCMS will officially open its 2025-26 regular season with a doubleheader at Northview on Thursday night. The Tornadoes’ first home games will be on Oct. 28 vs. Trenton.
