Obion Home Total Loss After Fire

Obion County, Tenn.–A home was a total loss and one firefighter received medical attention on the scene of a structure fire Tuesday night in Obion County.
At approximately 8:24 PM, Obion Fire Department was dispatched to a rural residential structure fire. Mutual aid was provided by Hornbeak Fire Department and Troy Fire Department.
Upon arrival, crews found a one-story mobile home with heavy smoke and flames coming from the Charlie-Delta side.
The fire had already spread through the attic space, creating heavy fire conditions throughout the structure.
Firefighters made several interior attack attempts before switching to an exterior operation. Crews were able to recover a few personal items for the homeowner, but unfortunately, the home was a total loss.
Firefighters remained on scene for approximately five hours working to bring the fire under control and perform overhaul operations.
One firefighter received medical attention on scene.
Obion Fire Chief Kane Stacks said, “A huge thank you to Hornbeak Fire, Troy Fire, Baptist EMS, and the Obion County Sheriff’s Department for their teamwork and support on scene.”
