Purple and Gold enthusiasm echoed off the walls of Marty Sisco Gymnasium on Friday afternoon during a system-wide all-sports pep rally.
Union City High School Principal/Athletics Director Jacob Cross orchestrated the event, which included recognition of middle school and high school fall sports accomplishments to date, as inspired legends of Tornado fans from all three UC Schools gave their full approval.
Special honorees included members of the record-setting high school volleyball team, UCHS cross country runners, state-bound golfers Brody Riley and Gavin McGuire, the Twister football team, and cheerleaders.
Games were played and prizes were awarded before the session ended, with more than 1,500 students singing the school’s alma mater to conclude the school day.
High School seniors enjoyed their annual senior breakfast and senior walk to begin day, prior to the pep rally.
