Buchanan, Tenn.–A home in Buchanan is a total loss after a Sunday afternoon fire, but thankfully no one was injured.

The Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department and Henry County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 54 Rocky Ridge Lane at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Fire Chief Reggie Coles said arriving units found a double wide mobile home fully engulged in flames. Owners Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cripe of Goodland, Ind., were not present at the time of the fire.

“While the exact cause of the fire is under investigation, it is believed to be accidental,” Coles said. Damage is estimated at $130,000.

Paris Landing responded with three trucks and six personnel, while the Paris Fire Department provided mutual aid with one truck and two personnel. Units were on the scene for two hours.
