Henry Teen Charged After Chase In Stewart, Montgomery Counties

Dover, Tenn.–On September 24th, Wednesday afternoon Dover City Officer Mickle clocked a vehicle traveling through the city at 75 mph. When he attempted to stop the vehicle the driver refused to stop and fled east on Hwy.79. Stewart Co. deputies also attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver continued to flee.
The pursuit entered into Montgomery County where Stewart County Deputy Josh Bolden was able to get ahead of the vehicle and deployed stop sticks past the Montgomery County Landfill and deflated two of the tires on the vehicle. The vehicle continued to flee and struck another vehicle and ran off the roadway. The driver then fled on foot from the vehicle across a field where he was chased down an apprehended by Deputies Bolden, Law and Grizzard.
Arrested was Gage Herron, age 18, of Henry.  He was charged with a long list of charges, including leaving the scene of an accident, evading arrest, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, driving uninsured and more.
