On Friday, September 19 at 3:43 PM, the Murray Police Department responded to an apartment complex in reference to a suspicious person who appeared to be intoxicated. While investigating at the scene, officers learned that the intoxicated male, Dawson McCoy, age 26, of Murray, KY, had grabbed two young children and attempted to get them to go with him. Both children were able to pull away from McCoy. McCoy was arrested for Attempted Kidnapping of a Minor and Alcohol Intoxication.
