
Paris, Tenn.–Candidates for the position of Henry County General Sessions/Juvenile Court Judge to replace the retiring Judge Vicki Snyder may present their resumes to the Henry County Mayor’s Office until October 14. Judge Snyder announced her pending retirement at the September Commission meeting.
The appointment will be filling an unexpired term. By law, the individual appointed must run in the 2026 general election to continue serving the remainder of the unexpired term. The elected judge’s term will conclude in 2030.

HENRY COUNTY GENERAL SESSIONS/JUVENILE COURT JUDGE
Resumes and statements of interest are being accepted until Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at the office of the Henry County Mayor, PO Box 7, 101 W. Washington Street, Paris, TN 38242 or they may be emailed to jgallimore@henrycountytn.org. The candidate must be a Henry County resident to be eligible. The appointment will be filling an unexpired term. By law, the individual appointed must run in the 2026 general election to continue serving the remainder of the unexpired term. The elected judge’s term will conclude in 2030. All candidates must be present at the Henry County Commission meeting on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 5PM in the Henry County Courthouse. Each candidate may speak to the County Commission for five minutes or less.
