Several tourism professionals from Obion County and West Tennessee attended the Tennessee Governor’s Conference on Hospitality and Tourism in Kingsport.
The group heard updates on tourism and tax revenue from Tennessee Department of Tourist Development Commissioner Mark Ezell, other state representatives, and Gov. Bill Lee.
Scott Williams, president and CEO of Discovery Park of America, was recognized at the conference’s annual “Stars of the Industry” banquet as the Tourism General Manager of the Year.
“This recognition is really a tribute to our entire team at Discovery Park and the work they do every day to provide an incredible experience for our guests,” Williams said. “It also underscores the important role tourism plays in the growth and success of Obion County and West Tennessee.”
