Driver Airlifted To Trauma Center After Early Morning Accident

Springville, Tenn.–A driver was airlifted from the scene of an early-morning accident after rescue crews used the Jaws of Life to extricate her.

At 2 a.m., the Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department, Paris-Henry County Rescue Squad, Henry County Sheriff’s Office and the THP were dispatched to 5461 E. Antioch Rd. in Springville, for the report of a one-vehicle motor vehicle accident rollover with entrapment.

Paris Landing Fire Chief Reggie Coles said arriving units found a full-size pickup truck overturned down a steep embankment.

The female driver was trapped inside the vehicle.  The driver was extricated using the Jaws of Life by the Fire Dept and Rescue Squad personnel. THe victim was turned over to Henry County EMS who transported the driver to Paris Landing Fire Dept Station 3’s landing pad to meet the Air Evac helicopter.

The driver was flown to a trauma center in Nashville where her condition is unknown.  The driver
appeared to have moderate to severe injuries, Coles said.  Emergency units were on
the scene for two hours.
