Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Commission will have a busy and eventful agenda awaiting them at their regular September meeting Monday night. Long-time Commissioner Dell Carter will be announcing his resignation from the commission and long-time Juvenile Court Judge Vicki Snyder also will be formally announcing her retirement. The commission will be setting rules and procedures for special elections to fill those vacancies.
The Commission also will be acting on the second reading of a resolution to levy a countywide motor vehicle tax.
The Commission also will hear a report from Public Defender Tas Gardner and District Attorney Neil Thompson, and consider a resolution to authorize the Henry County Airport Committee to prorate or abate airport hangar rental fees.
The meeting is at 5 p.m. at the courthouse Monday, September 15.
