Paris, Tenn.–It’s that time of year already! Time for ‘Scarecrows On The Square’ in downtown Paris.
“Scarecrows on the Square” is sponsored by the Downtown Paris Association (DPA). Tara Wilson, DPA Executive Director said, “We can’t wait to see the courthouse lawn full of eclectic, creative and unique scarecrows! It always adds a festive, seasonal look to our beautiful downtown. It is a great opportunity to let our businesses and organizations’ creativity take hold and have some fun!”
Applications to participate in Scarecrows on the Square are available at www.visitdowntownparis.com or by emailing downtownparistn@gmail.com. Deadline is September 26, 2025. Entry fee is $25.
Carly Wheat, DPA Committee Chair said, “Scarecrows will be judged after setup. They will be judged on originality, construction, and presentation. Prizes will be awarded for People’s Choice, Most Original, Best Constructed, Best in Show and Honorable Mention. The People’s Choice will be judged by the public on the Downtown Paris Association Facebook page. Winners will be announced via Facebook. We encourage everyone to visit downtown and stroll around the court square, it is quite entertaining!”
