| (Union City, Tenn., Sept. 4, 2025) — Discovery Park of America has hired Angela DeMaris as education events and content manager, a role focused on planning and delivering public programs for members and visitors, including after-hours experiences, seasonal festivals and hands-on weekend activities.
DeMaris brings more than 20 years of experience in arts administration, public programming and event production. Her background includes leadership roles in event coordination and academic enrichment, with prior service at The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center. She has managed cross-department timelines, volunteer coordination and run-of-show logistics for community events of varied scale.
“Our mission is to inspire curiosity through experience. Angela’s role is to translate that into well-executed events for members and visitors throughout the year,” said Michael Larkin, education director at Discovery Park of America.
In this role, DeMaris will plan and produce Discovery Park’s flagship educational events, from large festivals and themed weekends to special programs that highlight the park’s collections, with a focus on clear, repeat-worthy experiences that bring visitors back. She will coordinate cross-department timelines and volunteers, finalize scripts, signage and web listings, manage set, show and strike, and use attendance and post-event feedback to refine formats and strengthen signature events.
