Tennessee Soybean Festival Starts Tuesday

Martin, Tenn.–The Tennessee Soybean Festival in the heart of downtown Martin kicks off Tuesday. The Tennessee Soybean Festival has been a beloved tradition for over 30 years. Held every year in the first week of September, the historic downtown Martin district comes alive and there is something for everyone to enjoy.

This year’s Festival honors the Coates Family & Farm.

The Soybean Parade is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through downtown Martin.

Festival goers can expect thrilling side-shows, carnival rides, live music, food and street fair vendors, youth and adult art shows, a community BBQ cook off, Pickleball Palooza, Guitar as Art and more.

Some other highlights to look for: on Friday at 5 pm, the Free Tyson BBQ Chicken Quarters Meal given away until they’re all gone, Virginia Weldon Park; The Band Berry will perform a free concert downtown at 7:30 p.m.

The rest of the week you can find free music, sidewalk sales, an inflatable park, Farmers’ Breakfast, Break Dancing, Petting Zoo, Street Fair, and much more.

The primary focus of the Tennessee Soybean Festival is to build community, promote tourism, showcase local talents, and celebrate people coming together.
