Jordan Smith Announces Resignation From Murray State

MURRAY, Ky. – After many years of service to Murray State University, Assistant Vice President of Public Affairs Jordan Smith has announced his resignation from Murray State.

A Murray State alumnus, Smith served in numerous roles over his tenure at the University including the Office of Recruitment and Office of the President, and helped advance important initiatives through responsibilities in governmental and institutional relations, including relationships with local, state and federal legislators and elected officials. Smith was promoted to his current role in 2024.

“I would like to thank Jordan for his years of service to Murray State University, helping advance many key institutional priorities and representing Murray State in his relationships with elected officials,” Murray State President Dr. Ron Patterson said. “We wish him and his family the very best in the next step in his professional career.”

The University will commence a search soon for Smith’s successor.
