David Page Wins Three Gold Medals At Senior Olympics

david-page-wins

Paris, Tenn.–David Page of Paris has come a long way even after total knee replacement. Page earned three gold medals in pickleball at the Senior Olympics in Chattanooga earlier this month.

Page has been a lifelong resident of Paris and a city of Paris employee for the last 27 years. He is a father of six children and grandfather to 11 and the husband of Dana.

He started playing tennis at the age of eight, was a tennis advocate and went on to play USTA Tennis until he was in his 40’s. After he had total knee replacement surgery at the age of 50, he started playing pickleball in the local Paris Pickleball League about five months ago.

And he’s done a lot in that five months, playing in a few tournaments and doing well.

Then he played in the Senior Olympics in men’s singles and won a gold medal. The next day, he played in men’s doubles with Thomas Klingenberg (known as Coach K) and they were undefeated and he won another gold medal. The day after that, he and Jill Caldwell played mixed doubles and they won gold, too.

He represented Henry County well and brought home a total of three gold medals.
