Paris Issues Annual Fire Protection Billing

pfd-at-cth-by-abby

Paris, Tenn.–More than 3,500 property owners in the ESN122 district of  Henry County will soon receive their annual fire protection subscription billing from the City  of Paris. Notices are scheduled to be mailed on Wednesday, August 27, with payment due  by September 30, 2025.

The Paris Fire Department provides fire protection services to both the ESN122 district (the  unincorporated area surrounding Paris city limits) and the ESN123 district (the City of Paris).  While city residents contribute to fire protection through city property taxes, ESN122  property owners do not pay city taxes for this service. Instead, an annual subscription fee is  assessed based on each property’s appraised value.

For 2025, fees range from $20 to $250, depending on the property’s assessed value. Property assessments are determined by the Henry County Assessor of  Property and the Tennessee Division of Property Assessments. Due to the recent countywide  property tax reappraisal, some property owners may see a slight increase in this year’s fire  fee.

For property that has no improvements located on the premises and consists only of  unimproved land the annual fee will be $ 20.00.
