Paris, TN – A man and woman are in the Henry County Jail, and a teenager is recovering from a gunshot wound after an altercation that took place on the night of Friday, August 15, 2025.
The incident began when a group of teenagers, including the victim, exited a local store as a vehicle operated by the man and woman passed by. One of the teens made a comment about the vehicle, and the man driving took offense and confronted the group. The teenagers got into their truck to leave and ended up behind the man and woman’s car as both traveled down Memorial Drive.
As the vehicles approached Lankford Road, the car entered the turning lane to go north on Lankford Road while the teens’ truck continued south on Memorial Drive. After the truck passed by the car, a shot was fired from the car, striking one of the teenagers in the left forearm. The car then turned onto Lankford Road and the truck proceeded to West Tennessee Healthcare Henry County Hospital, to receive treatment for the victim’s wound.
Paris Police officers responded to the hospital and began an investigation. Officers located the suspect vehicle at an apartment complex on Lankford Road. The man was identified as Tomaz Washum and the woman as Sara Glisson. Both were brought to the Paris Police Department for interviews, where investigators developed enough evidence to charge each of them with five (5) counts of Aggravated Assault and five (5) counts of Felony Reckless Endangerment.
Washum and Glisson were booked into the Henry County Jail with bond for each set at $50,000. They are scheduled to appear in court on August 21, 2025.
