Paris, Tenn.–It may have gotten hot, hotter and hottest toward the end of Henry County Fair week, but the heat didn’t matter. Henry County Fair 2025 was an unqualified success in many ways. Fair organizers said crowds were good and the feedback was positive for the events and activities held throughout the week. AND, both the Junior Livestock Sale and the 4-H Country Ham Auction made big bucks.
The Junior Livestock Sale total garnered $424,979, while the Country Ham auction made $99,250, making a grand total raised $524,229. A total of 109 hams were sold at the auction, representing a lot of hard work by the kids participating in the program this year.
4-H Country Ham Auction Grand Champion was Sydney Sherron, daughter of Tonya Martin. Reserve Champ was Hilario Herrera; Junior High Champ was Colten Jackson; Junior High Reserve Champ was Jensen Brown; and Junior Champion was Liam Peppers.
Organizers said, “Thank You to the buyers and supporters of our youth programs, your contributions are helping to shape and build the future. Congratulations to all of the kids that sold market animals and hams.”
