Paris, Tenn.–It was a long, hot day–and a profitable one–for the Junior showmen and showwomen of Henry County Thursday, who reached a preliminary total of $406,994 at the Junior Livestock Sale. The Livestock Sale was the highlight of day-long shows of hogs, lambs, goats and steer in the Henry County Fair’s new, open-air Livestock Barn. The new and bigger barn was full of buyers, family and interested fair-goers who gave the new facility a combined thumbs-up. Even with the heat of the day, the large ceiling fans kept it feeling cool inside the new barn. Students from Henry School and Harrelson School were also on hand during the day. As always, the preliminary total will most probably change a bit once all the figures are calculated.
