Henry County Hospital To Offer Alzheimer’s 101 Workshop

Paris, TN – West Tennessee Healthcare Henry County Hospital, in  collaboration with Alzheimer’s Tennessee, will host an Alzheimer’s 101 Workshop on Thursday,  September 25th. The event will take place from 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm and will be in the lower  level of the hospital in classrooms 1 and 2. If you are a caregiver, part of a support system,  concerned for your own well-being or simply want to know more about Alzheimer’s and  dementia – this event is for you. 

Amanda B. Leitch, Certified Dementia Practitioner, and West Tennessee Regional Director for  Alzheimer’s Tennessee, will facilitate the workshop. She began her career with Alzheimer’s  Tennessee in 2006 as the Alzheimer’s Tennessee Cumberlands Regional Director and has  worked in the ageing community for over 25 years. Amanda became Regional Director of  Alzheimer’s Tennessee in 2019 and is instrumental in providing services and programs to  families in 21 counties that make up the West Tennessee region. 

During the workshop Amanda will cover – 

  • What Alzheimer’s Tennessee is all about 
  • The difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia 
  • How this organization can support families and individuals in our community Live Q & A – bring your questions!
