
Newbern, Tenn.–The joint funeral services for three members of the same family who were murdered last week in Tiptonville will be held Saturday at Johnson-Williams Chapel in Newbern. The funeral for the fourth person murdered, James Matthew Wilson, was held earlier this week at Johnson-Williams Chapel.
The suspect in the murders, Austin Drummond, was captured this week and his first court appearance was held this morning in Jackson.
Cortney Rose, Braydon Williams and Adrianna Williams Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Cortney Sabri Leolani Childress, her daughter Adrianna Sabri Leolani Williams, and her son Braydon Keith Williams, all of Dyersburg, Tennessee, who departed this life together on July 29, 2025, in Tiptonville, Tennessee.
Cortney was born on November 25, 1986, in Dyersburg. A devoted mother, her greatest joy in life was her children. She had the remarkable ability to light up a room with her infectious laughter and beautiful smile. Cortney poured love and energy into her family, cherishing every moment she had with them.
Adrianna was born on January 2, 2005, in Dyersburg. A bright and loving young woman, she was a devoted mother to her daughter, Weslynne Sabri Leolani Wilson, whom she adored with all her heart. Adrianna was known for her compassionate spirit, deep love for her family, and the way she cared for those around her.
Braydon was born on September 23, 2009, in Dyersburg. A vibrant young soul, Braydon had a passion for motorcycles and found joy in gaming. He brought energy and laughter to those who knew him and shared a special bond with his siblings and family.
Though their lives were tragically cut short, their love, memories, and light will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved them.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Lynn Deaton Childress, and grandparents, Charlie Kent, Larry Childress, and Charlie Gean.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home, with Pastor Helson Martinez officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
As we mourn the unimaginable loss of Cortney, Adrianna, and Braydon, we also celebrate the love they shared and the joy they brought into the world. May their spirits rest in peace and their memories be a comfort to those who remain.
