
Paris, Tenn.–The Paris Pickleball Club is pleased to announce that its own, Noriyuki “Mr. Rick” Horiuchi has won gold at the National Senior Games in Des Moines, Iowa for Men’s Singles in his division/age group. To qualify for Nationals (which is held every two years), a player must make the top four of the State Games.
Horiuchi is employed by PML and is an avid sportsman. He plays pickleball, ping pong, runs marathons and excels in all.
Horiuchi voiced appreciation for the opportunity to participate and meet other players from different states. He further expressed gratitude for the support and encouragement of the local club.
Also attending from the club were Paul Ritchie and Stacey Benson. In Men’s Doubles, Ritchie and Horiuchi advanced to round three and came in 11th out of 22 teams. In Mixed Doubles, Ritchie and Benson made it to Round 6 coming in 10 out of 37 teams.
The Paris Club will be sending 30 players to this year’s State Finals to be held October 6-10, 2025 in Chattanooga. Qualifiers for next year’s State Games will be held in Milan October 24, 2025. You must play in the qualifier to advance to the State Level.
