Three outstanding students from Carroll County are being recognized at the state level for their dedication to leadership, service, and agricultural education. Each earned top honors in their project areas at the Tennessee 4-H Roundup, along with $2,000 in scholarships to further their education. One of the students, Allie Paschall, attends Carroll County Schools but is a member of Henry County 4-H.

Allie Paschall – Henry County 4-H

Allie Paschall, a senior at Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School, was named the State Winner in Plant Science at Tennessee 4-H Roundup for her level 2 portfolio and interview competition. She was awarded a $1,000 college scholarship to attend UTK or UTM, and an all expenses paid trip to National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Georgia.

Paschall is also a Vol State recipient, placing her among the most accomplished 4-H members in Tennessee. The Vol State Award is the highest honor a Tennessee 4-H’er may receive. Members are inducted in an impressive candlelight ceremony on the final night of Tennessee 4-H Roundup. In addition to serving as a Regional 4-H Officer, she is an active member of the Hollow Rock-Bruceton FFA and the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program.

Her accomplishments earned her a $500 college scholarship to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville or the University of Tennessee at Martin and an all expenses paid trip to National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Georgia.
