Trezevant, Tenn. — From the quiet fields of West Carroll High School to the competitive travel circuits with TN Tri Star, Karma Wilkey has spent years preparing for this moment. With pen in hand and her family by her side, Karma officially signed to continue her softball journey at Bethel University, fulfilling a dream years in the making.

The daughter of Brian and Dagan Wilkey, Karma has become a household name in Carroll County softball circles—not just for her performance on the field, but for the spirit she brings to every dugout, practice, and game.

“It still doesn’t feel real,” Karma said, grinning after the signing ceremony. “But it’s something I’ve worked toward since I was a kid, and to know I get to represent Bethel and keep playing the game I love—it’s a blessing.”

Karma has been a cornerstone of the West Carroll Lady War Eagles program for five seasons, anchoring the team with consistency, poise, and leadership. Her accolades include 4x All-District honors, 3-time District Tournament Team selection, and 4x All-Academic Team recognition, underscoring both her athletic and academic commitment. In 2025, she was also inducted into the Carroll County Sports Hall of Fame, a testament to her impact on the local sports community.

She’s spent the past three seasons honing her skills at a higher level with TN Tri Star, where she faced top-tier competition and developed into a complete player.

Despite all the awards and moments, Karma’s favorite memory is a simple, yet unforgettable one: “My senior night game—hitting a walk-off double with two outs. The emotion, the celebration with my teammates, the joy in that moment… I’ll never forget it.”

Karma’s game is built on more than stats. Her strength lies in her attitude.

“She brings energy and maturity to every team she’s part of,” said Bethel head softball coach Craig Massey. “Karma is the kind of student-athlete every coach hopes to have—talented, smart, and always uplifting others. Her leadership will immediately add value to our culture at Bethel.”

Off the field, Karma plans to major in English, with dreams of turning her passion for reading and writing into a future career—perhaps teaching, writing, or even coaching the next generation of athletes.

“She’s got that rare mix of grit and grace,” said her Middle school and assistant college coach Shanta Emerson. “Karma leads by example. She’s the heartbeat of the team, and I can’t wait to see what she does next.”

As Karma prepares to step onto campus in McKenzie this fall, she does so with confidence, faith, and a heart full of gratitude.

“I’m proud to represent my hometown, my family, and my teammates at the next level,” she said. “Bethel felt like home the moment I visited, and I know it’s where I’m meant to be. I’m ready to work hard, grow, and give everything I have to the Wildcats.”
