Paris, Tenn.–There’s a new Executive Director for Henry County CASA: Shelby Hill, who has over 15 years of experience in the field of children protection and welfare.
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children. It’s mission is to be an advocate to speak up for a child’s best interest. They are part of the Henry County Juvenile Court system and work to ensure children’s needs are met within the court process.
A lifelong resident of Henry County, she brings with her the professional experience in advocacy, community-focused service and, according to CASA board members, “Most importantly, a passion for protecting and empowering vulnerable children.”
Hill said, “After years of working in child welfare, I’ve seen firsthand the impact a committed adult cane make in a child’s life. Stepping into the role of Executive Director of CASA is a continuation of that mission. CASA’s belief that “every child has a chance – and it’s you” isn’t just a slogan; it’s a call to action. I’m honored to lead an organization that empowers everyday people to become that chance for a child in foster care.”
The first CASA Executive Director was Tas Smith, who resigned earlier this year. CASA has been in operation in Henry County since 2019.
