Paris, Tenn.–Things got pretty hot for hundreds of customers of Paris Board of Public Utilties, thanks to a lengthy outage overnight.
BPU President Terry Wimberley said this morning the outage was caused by two dead trees falling on two poles on Chickasaw Rd. “We had two poles in a row go down, so it took awhile to get everything back on,” he said.
The incident occurred near the Chickasaw Road-Powell St. intersection, he said.
“We were out close to four hours”, he said, thanking BPU customers for their patience.
