
Marshall County, Ky.–Multiple first responders this afternoon recovered the body of a man who went under the water and never resurfaced at Johnathan Creek in Marshall County. The incident occurred Wednesday and the agencies resumed their search for him early this morning.
From the Marshall County Rescue Squad: Shoutout to Calloway County Fire/Rescue and Calloway Emergency Management, South Marshall Fire Dept., McCracken County Rescue Squad and McCracken County Emergency Management, Lyon County Group, Fairdealing Olive Fire Dept., Ky Fish/Wildlife, Marshall County Coroners Office, and the Marshall County Rescue Squad members who assisted, and our Dispatchers for phone and radio op’s, also to our Judge Executive for providing lunch to the search teams, at approximately 1:00pm today a recovery was made and we were able to bring closure to the family of the missing man, keep the family and the responders on your prayers.
Marshall County Rescue Squad responded to a call for a woman yelling for help in the water near Johnathan Creek, a couple stopped their boat and jumped in to swim and the boat floated away, a witness on scene kept yelling at her to keep swimming and she made it to the dock, witness then called 911 and a responder was able to get her out of the water, also a male subject was swimming to the dock but went under and never resurfaced.
