Union City, Tenn.–At a video press conference this morning, Obion County Mayor Steve Carr announced Air Evac will be locating a headquarters at the Everett-Stewart Regional Airport.
Appearing with Carr were Air Evac Senior Program Director Kent Martin and Airport Manager Don Coady, all of whom described the announcement as a ‘win-win’ for Obion County and Air Evac.
Carr said a hangar and living quarters will be constructed at the airport exclusively for Air Evac. “It will enable us to provide a greater service” for the community. “We’re excited about this and excited about the economic impact for the community.”
There will be 15 new full-time jobs, as well as part-time jobs, available.
Martin said the Air Evac headquarters will be similar to that which was opened at the Henry County Airport near Cottage Grove five years ago.
Coady said, “We always look to expand our services. It will be a win-win-win for Obion County, Air Evac and our airport.”
