Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Junior Fair Board knows a lot about going that extra mile and this year at the Henry County Fair will be no exception. The board will be collecting items for The Little Pantries of Henry County as a service project.

The fair will be held from August 8-16 and the Junior Fair Board members will be collecting the items from Wednesday through Saturday the week of the fair, from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

Michelle Hopkins explained, “The Junior Board thought they could give back this year by doing a service project. We saw the idea at the Gibson County Fair and thought it was a great idea and way to give back to the community. They chose the Little Pantries of Henry County.”

They have raised about $350 to donate to them already and they also will be hosting an online contest through social media. The business that collects the most canned goods and/or raises money to go toward this project while promoting the fair dates and theme will get a chance to win up to 15 free special edition fair shirts!

See the Henry County Fair Facebook page for details if your business would like to participate.
