
Murray, Ky.–A New Concord man is in Calloway County Jail after he is charged with striking a deputy.
On July 1, 2025, at approximately 9:30 PM, deputies responded to a residence on Norris Drive in reference to a reported altercation. The investigation determined that Delbert Orey had assaulted an individual and subsequently locked them out of the residence.
Once deputies arrived Orey would not come outside to speak to them. When he cracked the door, the deputies attempted to keep it open when he struck one deputy on the face. He resisted being detained and struck the second deputy. He was arrested and lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center. No one was in need of medical attention.
