Union City, Tenn.–Today we celebrate Juneteenth, the federal holiday that commemorates June 19, 1865. On this day, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas to announce the end of slavery and freedom for all enslaved African Americans.
The Juneteenth celebration at Discovery Park of America last Saturday, June 14, was incredible.
The Discovery Park community choir and each of the guests brought everyone together with meaningful music, dance and fellowship.
