Mrs. Jackie Horton, 84, of Union City, passed away peacefully at 7:14 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at The Waters of Union City. Born on October 1, 1940, in South Bend, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of the late Rolland and Betty Elizabeth (Hullinger) Snyder.
Jackie was a devoted homemaker and a cherished member of the First Baptist Church Woodland Mills for 36 years, where she found joy in her church family and teaching vacation bible school. She married Billy Joe Horton on July 2, 1956, who survives her.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Ramona McKinney (Jeff) of Vinton, Louisiana, Ricky Horton (Jo Ann) of Union City, Rhonda Pigg (Bobby) of Union City, Rojeana Brown (Tom) of Decatur, and Rochelle Moore (Bobby Jo) of Union City. Jackie is also survived by her sister, Pamalalee Hughes, eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Jackie was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Christina Dutton, two brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home, with Brother Shawn White and Brother Rick Burton officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services on Friday.
Pallbearers will include Ricky Horton, Tom Brown, Will Horton, Bobby Moore, Bobby Morton, and Adam Nelson.
