Tammy Parker Jackson

Tammy Parker Jackson, age 61 went home to be with Jesus, Wednesday, June 11, 2025. She was with her loving and devoted husband Robert Jackson when Jesus called her home in the presence of the Lord and Savior. She now resides in a heavenly home and no longer has sickness or pain, but eternal life in heaven as promised to his believers.

Tammy was born in Erin, TN to the late Cynthia Miller Graybill of Stewart and the late Robert L. Parker of Richmond, VA. Tammy’s parents later divorced and she was raised by her loving grandparents, Lloyd and Lorene Miller in the Hurricane Creek community.

Tammy leaves behind her husband, Robret and children, Chris Dority (Jesse), Dover, Tamilyn Dunaway (Terry), Dover, Brandsford ‘Bo’ Wix, Dover; her grandchildren, Laken Dority, Callie Dunaway, Carlee Dunaway, Maylee Dunaway, and Paisley Dunaway. Tammy adored her children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Neal Miller (Sherry), Madisonville, TN, Pam McGhee (Ken), Big Rock, Debbie Weeks (Lloyd), Roanoke, VA and Uncle brother Tony Miller (Sherry), Dover, and nephews and niece.

Tammy is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jack and Mamie Parker of Virginia and maternal grandparents and brother, Robert ‘Robbie’ Parker.

Tammy was a dedicated member of the Fort Donelson Pentecostal Church of God in Dover and leaves behind many friends she met there whom she and Robert consider family. She was well known for her homemade banana pudding and other dishes she shared at many church occasions. She loved a good yard sale and hunting for antiques. She loved the flowers she had planted in the backyard that came up each spring and summer. She enjoyed sitting on her porch with her sweet fur babies Annabella and Gracie with Robert by her side. She also had a great fascination and love for sea turtles, collecting various glass colors and sizes. She sponsored to a sea turtle organization that re-habilitated injured and sick turtles.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 beginning at 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 9:00 am and continue until the funeral service at 10:00 am at Fort Donelson Pentecostal Church of God on Wynns Ferry Rd., Dover, TN with Bro. Brian Gelande officiating and burial will follow at the church cemetery, Grace Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family request in lieu of memorial, donations may to Stewart County High School Fishing Team c/o Shana Elkins or juvenile diabetes research foundation in Tammy’s memory.
