Obion, Tenn.–The Obion Fire Department presented Lifesaving Awards to three of its firefighters during its monthly fire drill Tuesday night.
If you recall, on April 8, 2025 during the April flood, the Obion Fire Department was dispatched to HWY 51 S to respond to a water rescue.
This incident involved three individuals whose boat had capsized due to the swift flood waters.
These three men, without hesitation, responded and launched the first boat within five minutes of being dispatched. The three victims were located two miles south of the launch site and all three were pulled from the water and transported to the roadway for medical evaluation.
The selfless act of these three men saved three lives.
