
Briley Ann Medlin
Briley Ann Medlin, as one of the recipients of its 2025 scholarship. Briley will receive a $2000 scholarship to support her educational pursuit in the medical field.
The WTH-HCH Volunteer Auxiliary scholarships are awarded annually to legal residents of Henry Co., TN, who are graduating seniors from Henry County High School and intend to pursue a degree or certification in the medical field, excluding optometry, dentistry, and veterinary medicine.
Briley plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Briley will major in Biology with an emphasis on the pre-med track. While at Henry County High School, Briley completed several college preparatory classes and obtained extensive community service hours. Briley excelled in the arts at HCHS as a member of the Madrigals and a constant cast member of HCHS plays. She was a student representative for art-based events held at the Krider Performing Arts Center as well. Briley was the senior class president and a member of the Honors Society, graduating in the top 5% of her class. She attributes her father as being instrumental in guiding her into the medical field, helping her excel in fulfilling her dreams and configure the way she views her shortcomings.
“It’s very overwhelming to have the task of reviewing the many applications we receive from students showing interest in the medical field,” said Wanda Davis, scholarship chairperson. “Having to go through the process of elimination, when they’re all so deserving is incredibly difficult. We are just so proud we can help them start their journey.”
Izzy Robbins
Izzy Robbins is one of the recipients of its 2025 scholarship. Izzy will receive a $2000 scholarship to support her educational pursuit in the medical field.
The Volunteer Auxiliary scholarships are awarded annually to legal residents of Henry Co., TN,
who are graduating seniors from Henry County High School and intend to pursue a degree or certification in
the medical field, excluding optometry, dentistry, and veterinary medicine.
Izzy plans to attend Jackson State Community College and pursue a career as a Radiology Technician. Izzy
maintained a 4.0 GPA during her time at HCHS and was an active member of the volleyball team as well as
completely extensive community service hours. During a career shadow day, Izzy observed a radiologic
technologist at work. She realized the deep impact the field had on people’s lives and the vital role this job
plays in diagnosing and helping treat medical conditions.
