Big Sandy Spring Festival This Weekend

bg-fest

Big Sandy, Tenn.–The Big Sandy Spring Festival will be held this weekend, Friday through Saturday, with live bands, parade, carnival, car show, and a firework show to cap it all off.

Serving as the Grand Marshal of the parade will be the Big Sandy High School Class of 2025, which will be the last one to graduate from the school. Due to decreasing numbers at the high school, the school board decided a couple years ago the 2025 class would be the last at the high school. The Big Sandy School will still be a k-8 facility.

On Friday, May 23, the carnival begins at 5 p.m., with Johnny Mac performing from 6-8:30 p.m.

On Saturday, May 24, the car show begins at 8 a.m., with the parade at 10 a.m., the carnival starting at 10:30 a.m. and Tommy Akers performing at that time. During the day, there will be a photo booth, face painting, petting zoo, horseshoe contest, 3 point basketball contest, bingo.

Rockin’ Randall French will perform at 6:30 p.m. and fireworks will be set off at 9.
